On February 16, 2007 we held the first bike ride in memorium for Hernando County Deputy Lonnie C. Coburn. The ride commenced at the site of Deputy Coburn's last case. It proceeded along S.R. 50 through downtown Brooksville and down US Hwy 41 to Florida Memorial Gardens, where Deputy Coburn is buried. This is the route of the ambulance carrying Deputy Coburn to the hospital and then the hearse carrying him to his final resting place. Current and past law enforcement participated as did several friends and family. Many made it back to Coney Island in Brooksville. This ride prompted the creation of APACK, Inc.
